Scammer's worst app ever
This is my 1st time using this app they locked me out with my money in it this is the worst scammers I have ever come across I hope the bureau investigation investigates these people and shut them down I've sent on my credentials nobody has called me it's been 3 days and my money still in the account and I cannot transfer it or use it..

It's like dealing with Dick Turpin
I'm a small time videographer who films dance and performance shows. This app is criminal. First it changes me for using the app. I then charge my clients to access my work, they download it, don't care about streaming particularly as the Vimeo player doesn't have the ability to use chapter marks, then they charge me commission for my clients to access the files I made, this system is no different to the way Dick Turpin operated. They want control of my clients, so when I get a complaint, I have to go to Vimeo to record it. They're my clients so why would they go to Vimeo, it's my reputation on the line.. please tell me someone if there's an alternative to Vimeo,... arghhh
VIMEO SUCKS!
I signed up for a "Free Trial" and Vimeo attempted to charge my credit card for $186. Then they sent me an email to update my credit card info. SCAMMERS, DISHONEST, MISLEADING, GREEDY & THEIR VIDEOS SUCK!
If you want to do VIDEOS try VEED! Their videos are easy to put together & they HONOR their FREE TRIAL. Amen ?
Waste of time making "free" videos here
Went through the process of making a video using the free software which took a while, after I saved it they plastered a giant Vimeo logo over the top of it which not only made it look bad but also made the subtitles I'd added completely unreadable. If they had displayed the logo while I was making it or told me they were going to stick a giant logo on it when I was finished I wouldn't have bothered. Now I have to start the whole thing again.

Have no idea how they got hold of my email account - you cannot unsubscribe. They will pester you for ever. Even when you go through the unsubscribing process they will inform you, that having unsubscribed, you will continue receiving certain emails from them.

I had never given my card info to vimeo, seems their answer was to have random persons card added on my account? From another country? They charged the card's owner 300 dollars for pro membership. I told them to refund the money to the rightful owner... They claimed they did...
I proceeded to delete my account as they refused to comment on the fact they charged someone else's credit card on my account. They only replied "you can't remove the payment option". The person's name was on the receipt. Hope they got their money back. I had not used vimeo in 5 years.

Pages inside your account will disappear. You will get error messages and never get to the pages you need to.
Support takes 100 years to respond to help requests. When they reply, they play games and pretend like they do not understand your issue. They have no ability to check or fix our account at their end when things break.
They will waist your time and destroy your business.
I hope they go out of business soon.
Poor UX UI commenting & version control for pros
UX and UI when using as a professional tool for video reviewing and development is poor. Quite clunky and constantly having to renter comments as Vimeo deletes them as you type. Also the way version control works is poor for professional or serious video professionals.

As a video producer I used Vimeo to deliver content many ways - most went well. But, as usual, when you run into trouble and need support you are met with excuses, answers to other questions you did not ask, and frustration. That's where I am now. I closed my Vimeo PRO account a few years back when I retired. Now, one of the videos on my old Vimeo channel is needed by a client for a documentary but in order to download it from Vimeo, they require me to buy an entire year of PRO membership that I honestly don't need. Hoping there must be a less 'spensive option I reached out to their customer support via email / chat. hahah, silly me. What was I thinking? All I got was a copy/paste reply that was restating my question so they could ignore me in hopes I disappear. What a shame.

Avoid vimeo like the plague
These people robbed my account of 132.84 € . It signed up to watch a movie which was advertised by Vimeo as being available on their platform. After signing up to watch The Quiet Girl the site informed me that it was not available. It suggested other movies but I had no interest in them. I immediately realised that this was a con. I tried to cancel but was put into a continuous loop. I sent email to them but only received an automated response. Stay far away from this site. If they have your credit card details contact your bank just as I did and block all future attempts at debiting my account.
Worst video site ever!
I've exactly the same as the people below.
I had a free account and I just couldn't delete my account by the deadline. It gave, supposedly, an error message. And 2 days after the deadline, I was able to delete the account but it just debited 130 euros. With no description of what! I am going to refund it if I don't receive a response as soon as possible!

Ongoing torture of rip-off Vimeo
I support the negative rating. This company does not send receipts or make communication with them easy. I found it impossible to access my account to ensure my free membership was cancelled and have subsequently been billed £129.60. I've not even made use of Vimeo's services as I used a mobile phone to make the video instead. It's impossible to get consistent or useful replies from their help team: impossible even, so far, to close my account. Altogether, the most stressful consumer experience I've ever had. And it goes on. Do yourself a big favour and AVOID AVOiD AVOiD!
